You are welcome to come along and assist the Friends of Mt Billy Conservation Park group in their conservation maintenance and monitoring activities in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Rangers.
They meet at Gate 1 (the most northerly gate on Hindmarsh Tiers Road) at 1pm on the 1st Saturday of the month.

Mount Billy Conservation Park is located about 80 kms south of the Adelaide CBD and about 15 kms north of Visitor Harbor.
The park is about 199 hectares, having been proclaimed a park when the land was transferred from SA Water to Dept. Water and Environment in 1999.
It originally served as the adjacent catchment of the Hindmarsh Valley Reservoir which, prior to its decommissioning, was part of the supply chain of water supply to Victor Harbor.

Mount Billy Conservation Park represents some of the best examples of high-rainfall vegetation communities in the southern Mount Lofty Ranges.
With some 50+ bird species, it is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including 50+ bird species (parrots, wrens and honeyeaters).
Fleeting glimpses of the rare Southern Brown Bandicoot may be found in the thick understorey of Banksia and Bracken Fern and the elusive Heath Goanna, basking on sandy trails in the sun.
